EMERSON TAKES AHR
EXPO HONORS - COPELAND® SYSTEMPRO®
CONDENSING UNIT WINS 2008 AHR EXPO INNOVATION AWARD
The Company Also Earns Honorable Mention for
White-Rodgers’ Thermostat Kit with Wireless Remote
Sensor
ST. LOUIS, January 22, 2008 –
Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE:
EMR), announced that the Copeland®
SystemPro® condensing unit is the winner of a 2008 AHR Expo Innovation Award in
the refrigeration category. In addition, an
Innovation Award Honorable Mention was awarded to
Emerson Climate Technologies for their White-Rodgers
Thermostat Kit with Wireless Remote Sensor in the
tools and instruments category.
The Copeland SystemPro condensing unit is designed
for applications with limited space availability
that utilize fractional horsepower-sized condensing
units, making it ideal for many retail refrigeration
applications, including reach-in cases, food prep
tables and under-counters. With factory installed,
sealed and tested EK filter driers and tri-color
hermetic moisture warning indicators in place, this
condensing unit significantly reduces the amount of
necessary on-site installation materials, tube
prepping and brazing. Unlike other units that
require four on-site braze joints, the Copeland
SystemPro requires only one, preserving the entire
unit and protecting it from potential contaminants
that can result from on-site brazing. The Copeland
SystemPro fractional horsepower condensing unit
provides higher system reliability, a solution to
working in restricted spaces, reduced expenses and
less business disruption and equipment downtime
Honorable Mention
The new
White-Rodgers Thermostat Kit with Wireless Remote Sensor
(1F85RF-275) includes a universal thermostat for
single stage, multi-stage or heat pump systems and a
wireless indoor remote sensor. The remote sensor
comes synchronized to the thermostat and can be
placed up to 200 feet away. This sensor can be
adjusted up or down by as much as four degrees at
the remote location or, for public areas, can be
locked out to prevent unwanted temperature changes.
Temperature control can be prioritized or averaged
between the thermostat and remote sensor.
