EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES
ANNOUNCES
2007-2008 TRAINING SEMINAR SCHEDULES
ST. LOUIS, August 23, 2007 –
Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR),
today announced the 2007-2008 schedules for its course offerings,
including the popular Copeland Scroll™ Air Conditioning Training
Seminar and Compressor Operation and Service Seminar. All of the
seminars are offered by Emerson’s Educational Services division.
The
Copeland Scroll Air Conditioning Training Seminar is a half-day
seminar for service technicians focused on air conditioning-system
fundamentals, Copeland Scroll technology and alternate refrigerants.
Seminars will be held at various locations between September 2007
and May 2008 and will last approximately four-and-a-half hours.
The
Compressor Operation and Service Seminar (COSS) provides
detailed, hands-on training related specifically to compressor
operation and service. Students learn troubleshooting techniques,
explore system components and perform a hands-on teardown. The
curriculum, which has been significantly updated for the new season,
reflects Emerson Climate Technologies’ continued focus on integrated
systems and networks. The latest version of the course has expanded
treatment of advanced scroll technology, including modulation
techniques. The three-day seminars will be held at various locations
between September 2007 and May 2008.
Educational Services is also offering
new versions of its
Specialized Technology Training (STT) Days for the upcoming
season. Each of these full-day seminars provide an intensive study
of a single topic, including
scroll compressors,
screw compressors, and
refrigeration troubleshooting. Additional STT courses offering
extensive compressor teardown or system simulator training are
offered at Emerson Climate Technologies Headquarters in Sidney,
Ohio.
“The updated versions of these seminars
emphasize the commitment of Emerson Climate Technologies to
continually meet the educational needs of HVACR contractors,” said
Larry Banas, director of Emerson Climate Technologies’ Educational
Services. “Contractors should take full advantage of the
opportunities we have developed for them to help their businesses
grow and prosper in our ever-changing industry.”
Many Emerson Climate Technologies
seminars are approved by North American Technician Excellence (NATE)
for use towards contractor NATE recertification.
